Standards

Barnsley Academy is focussed on helping its students achieve the highest possible standards of which they are capable. This will help them in their adult lives.

In terms of academic standards we aim to help our students achieve a range of useful qualifications that will enable them to progress into further education, or employment with training, at the highest level of which they are capable.

We put a big emphasis on maximising potential in the core subjects of English and Mathematics, and also ensure that every learner develops modern and appropriate ICT skills.
