As a United Learning Trust Academy we welcome students from all faiths and none and aim to give them the opportunity to become a balanced, articulate person with:

• we always work closely with parents to overcome all existing barriers to learning, and employ a strategy of early intervention to try and limit the effect on progress caused by any new barriers to learning as they emerge. Good quality Special Needs support are focussed on ensuring that agreed Individual Educational Plans are effectively actioned across all aspects of each learner's individual needs.

Barnsley Academy cares greatly about every one of its students and readily accepts that it cannot achieve the best for everyone by acting in isolation.
