Working Together
Barnsley Academy recognises that good working relationships with its partners continually need to be nurtured and that mutual confidence is built over time. Barnsley Academy strives to work with its partners to create synergy in order to raise standards and increase opportunities for the local community.
Barnsley Academy exists to serve our local community and we constantly seek to organise opportunities for us all to benefit from the sport and other facilities at the Academy.
Barnsley Academy works with twelve local primary schools and other secondary schools. Such partnerships help to ensure that there is continuity of educational experience and achievement.
Additionally Barnsley Academy develops links with those involved in the education of students from the age of 16. The Academy endeavours to establish learning pathways for its students through the 14-19 curriculum, and our ability to involve other providers in this area of education is of paramount importance to our students.
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and the Barnsley Academy provides a partnership around a Full Service Provision. These services are located in a dedicted wing of the new academy building.
Barnsley Academy continually strives to be a dynamic and receptive organisation, keen to improve through learning, evaluation and taking on best practice.
