YEARS 9 AND 10 MAKE THE CAPITAL CONNECTION

London was calling when a group of Year 9 and 10 students paid a visit to the capital as part of a two day residential.

During the visit, which took place on the 7th and 8th June, the 65 students experienced art and culture at the Victoria and Albert Museum, took in a performance of hit musical Mamma Mia in the West End and also visited other key London landmarks including Buckingham Palace and the London Dungeons.

Academy Principal Stephen Dixon commented:

“Those students taking part in the residential embraced this learning experience outside of the classroom - their attitude to learning was faultless; they even said they'd love the trip to be longer! We’ll be looking at running more learning experiences such as this during the next academic year.”
