Lloyd's skiing on ice
Year 8 student Lloyd Champman spent part of his summer holiday at a prestigious camp in Austria skiing across a glacier. Lloyd who is used to skiing on snow had to ski on ice, which during the afternoons of the summer months turns to slush and is far more difficult than skiing down snowy slopes.
Lloyd takes part in ski competitions and has represented the school in the British Interschool’s Championships two years running, and train twice a week at the indoor ski centre at Castleford, is hoping to make a career out professional skiing.
